Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced associate to join its Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice in New York. Duties
Advise clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
Work closely with private equity funds and financial institutions on transactional matters.
Draft and negotiate key corporate agreements, including purchase and shareholder agreements.
Conduct due diligence and assess legal risks related to M&A transactions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
Assist in structuring and executing transactions for a diverse client base, including global investment firms and independent sponsors.
Stay updated on regulatory and market trends affecting corporate transactions.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in M&A and private equity transactions.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance, finance, and transactional law.
Ability to work independently and within a team on complex business matters.
Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Commitment to providing high-quality client service and meeting deadlines.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
