A law firm located in Albany, NY, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in litigation and commercial transactions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to handle commercial litigation cases from start to finish, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and negotiating settlements.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and other necessary filings.
• Administer depositions, issue interrogatories, and review documents.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Perform comprehensive legal research to support case preparation.
• Make court appearances as required.
• Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs.
• Independently manage commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in litigation and commercial transactions.
• Experience in commercial litigation is strongly preferred, though other litigation experience will be considered.
• Admitted to practice law in New York State.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York State.
