Job Overview

A law firm seeks a corporate associate to join the Investment Services team in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and engage in business development and client-facing activities within a multidisciplinary practice.

Duties

• Collaborate with shareholders on investment services matters.
• Participate in business development and client-facing activities.
• Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of corporate and securities law experience.
• Experience with SEC-registered investment advisers and private investment funds.
• Knowledge of federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Transactional experience with investment advisers and private investment funds preferred.
• Admitted in, or taking steps to become admitted in, Illinois, New York, or District of Columbia.

Education

• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in applicable jurisdiction.
