Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in employment-related litigation, focusing on cases such as wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, harassment, retaliation, and discrimination.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including client intake, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Handle depositions, court hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure thorough preparation for trials.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the legal process.
• Stay updated on changes and developments in employment law and civil litigation.
• Provide counsel to clients on a wide range of employment law matters.
• Represent clients in both plaintiff and defendant roles, fostering a well-rounded understanding of employment law.
• Prepare and try cases before a jury or bench, demonstrating courtroom confidence and skill.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law.
• Proven experience managing cases independently from start to finish.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle a caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal technology and case management tools.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of employment law, including wage and hour issues, wrongful termination, and workplace discrimination.
• Strong litigation skills, including deposition, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Excellent legal writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
