There is one position to be filled, and it can be filled in any Alliance office (all within California): Merced, Salinas or Scotts Valley. Interested candidates should submit one application only.

We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as the Operational Excellence Director, leading the Operational Excellence Department.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will:

Direct and oversee the Operational Excellence Department and provide executive-level advice and guidance on Business Process Management (BPM), Process Improvement, Strategy Execution, Program and Project Management (PPM) and overall business operations

Work with Alliance leadership and all levels throughout the organization to advance operational excellence, acting as a subject matter expert

Provide strategic leadership with enterprise performance measurement systems to systematically monitor tactical and operational performance and identify performance deviations requiring intervention

Direct, manage and supervise Operational Excellence Department staff

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Knowledge of and Proficiency in:

The application of complex business performance improvement, process improvement, organizational development and quality improvement principles, methodologies, best practices and tools

Research, analysis and reporting methods

Promoting and applying change management principles

Knowledge of:

The principles of statistics, statistical process control, metrics, dashboards and scorecards

The principles and practices of program development and project management

PPM principles, practices, methodologies and tools

Ability to:

Direct, manage, supervise, mentor, train and evaluate the work of staff

Develop, plan, organize and direct programs and activities that are complex in nature and regional in scope

Provide leadership, facilitate meetings, and partner with and guide managers and employees in the resolution of issues

Demonstrate strong analytical skills, accurately collect, manage and analyze data, identify issues, offer recommendations and potential consequences, and mitigate risk

Review and assess overall department function, core work, goals and structure, develop and implement short- and long-term planning to achieve strategic plans, and complete an annual department assessment

Develop and monitor department, program and project budgets

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field

A minimum of ten years of experience performing operational excellence related activities for a health care organization which included a minimum of three years of management-level experience (a Master’s degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying

OTHER DETAILS

While this position is connected to one of our Alliance offices, we are in a fully telecommute work environment right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The interview and on-boarding process for this position will be completed remotely

This position

may

require onsite presence when our offices re-open, which will be no sooner than February 1, 2022. Onsite presence will most likely be on a part-time basis, but is dependent on business needs

COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement:

At this time, this position requires vaccination or

regular testing upon office entry. Fully vaccinated is defined by the CDC. This means receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer & Moderna vaccines) OR receipt of a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) AND a 2-week period having passed since the administration of the last vaccine dose. If you state that you are vaccinated, proof of vaccination must be submitted at time of hire.
