A law firm seeks a Tech and Data Associate with 1-5 years of experience to join their Minneapolis, MN office. The successful candidate will have a background in advising companies on comprehensive privacy laws and a focus on data privacy compliance and security incident response.

Duties

• Advise clients on privacy laws including CCPA, CPA, VCDPA, CTDPA, and GDPR.
• Draft and review data processing and information security agreements.
• Handle software, SaaS, and IP and IT license agreements.
• Engage in security incident response and planning.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment.
• Strong academic background.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to be admitted in Minnesota.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• CIPP certification preferred.

Skills

• Experience in AI governance and advice.
