A law firm in Miami is seeking a skilled Tax and International Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in both domestic and international tax planning and consulting, along with strong academic credentials. An LL.M. in Taxation or certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) is required. Additionally, proficiency in Spanish is desired.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and counsel on domestic and international tax matters.
• Assist clients with tax planning, structuring transactions, and compliance.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax issues.
• Draft tax-related documents, including agreements, opinions, and memoranda.
• Represent clients in tax controversies and audits before regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on cross-border transactions.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly in the international context.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in domestic and international tax planning and consulting.
• LL.M. in Taxation or certification as a certified public accountant (CPA).
• Excellent academic credentials with significant coursework in international tax.
• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish (desired).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• LL.M. in Taxation (preferred).

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred).
