Duties

• Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications related to software technologies

• Advise clients on intellectual property strategy and portfolio development

• Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validity analyses

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to align IP strategy with business goals

• Draft high-quality written work including office action responses, appeal briefs, and client correspondence

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in patent prosecution (software-related technologies)

• Must be USPTO registered

• Legal practice experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

Education

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in one of the following fields:

  • Computer Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Mathematics

  • Physics

  • Other closely related fields

Certifications

• USPTO Registration Number (active status required)
