A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Personal Injury Attorney for its Layton, Utah office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation or personal injury/medical malpractice work, with strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills. The attorney will be expected to uphold the firm's core values and contribute to its mission of providing excellent legal representation.

Duties

• Lead and manage personal injury litigation cases.
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for trial.
• Argue motions and participate in mediations and arbitrations.
• Collaborate with appellate counsel on cases.
• Travel for work-related needs and activities.

Requirements

• Active Bar License in Arizona, Idaho, and/or Utah.
• Experience as first chair in at least three jury trials.
• Primary attorney on no less than five wrongful death cases.
• Conducted at least 30 depositions as the taking attorney.
• Briefed and argued at least three summary judgment motions.
• Settled or resolved at least 30 cases.
• Proficiency in legal research tools like Lexis and Westlaw.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant state or ability to quickly obtain it.
