A highly respected law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 4–5 years of experience to join its litigation team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a background in complex commercial litigation, particularly in real estate-related matters, and should demonstrate strong research, writing, and courtroom capabilities. Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters

• Manage all aspects of litigation including drafting pleadings and motions, discovery, court appearances, and litigation strategy

• Handle real estate-related disputes, including residential and commercial landlord-tenant litigation

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case development and resolution strategies

• Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality memoranda and briefs

• Participate in motion practice, including e-discovery and expert coordination

• Appear in court and communicate effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel

Requirements:

• 4–5 years of commercial litigation experience

• Familiarity with New York civil procedure and state court practice

• Substantial experience with discovery, including electronic discovery

• Ability to handle a high volume of work with strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York (required)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing skills

• Ability to draft polished, professional legal documents

• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom experience

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Law Review or Journal experience (preferred)
