Duties:

• Advise clients on environmental compliance across state and federal regulations

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and pleadings related to environmental issues

• Support due diligence and risk assessments in environmental aspects of real estate and business transactions

• Represent clients in administrative, civil, and regulatory proceedings

• Participate in team strategy sessions and client meetings

• Maintain awareness of emerging trends in environmental law and policy

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of relevant legal experience in environmental regulatory, transactional, or litigation matters

• Proficiency in legal writing, analysis, and oral advocacy

• Ability to manage complex case files and meet project deadlines

• Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services in a collaborative setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Ranked in the top 25% of the graduating law school class

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

• Eligibility for admission in Alabama (if not currently admitted)

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and persuasive writing capabilities

• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Familiarity with environmental statutes such as the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, and RCRA
