Job Title: Litigation Services Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Litigation Services Attorney to oversee various functions crucial to the litigation process. The role involves conducting judicial research, managing calendars, performing court services tasks, and providing strategic guidance to attorneys on complex court filings. The ideal candidate will possess advanced court rules and procedures knowledge, strong analytical skills, and at least 3 years of experience in litigation or related legal fields.

Duties:

• Conduct judicial research to develop profiles and analytics on specific judges, including reviewing transcripts.
• Oversee and perform calendaring functions, maintaining a calendar of litigation deadlines, and communicating deadlines to firm-wide litigation teams.
• Manage court services tasks such as researching and retrieving court documents, filing client and firm court documents, and processing litigation mail.
• Prepare roadmaps guiding attorneys through procedural and logistical elements of complex court filings, highlighting strategic opportunities and best practices based on judicial preferences.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of applicable court rules and procedures, applying them quickly and efficiently across multiple jurisdictions to ensure risk management.
• Articulate complex court rules and calendaring issues in a comprehensible, accurate, confident, and concise manner.
• Display analytical skills needed to comprehend and convey complex legal principles effectively.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current Bar Admission.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney and/or attorney in a Docket/Calendar/Litigation Services environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Current Bar Admission.
