A law firm seeks a Lemon Law Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. This position is ideal for a junior attorney with foundational experience in California Lemon Law matters, aiming to develop their practice in a high-volume, plaintiff-side environment. The attorney will manage cases from intake through resolution, collaborating with senior attorneys and support staff to advocate for clients and achieve favorable outcomes.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of California Lemon Law matters from intake through settlement or litigation.
• Review and evaluate vehicle purchase and repair documentation to assess Lemon Law claims.
• Calculate vehicle buyback values for Lemon Law repurchases and settlements.
• Draft and respond to correspondence, demands, pleadings, and discovery under attorney supervision.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, expectations, and next steps.
• Engage in negotiations with manufacturers and opposing counsel to resolve matters efficiently.
• Assist with litigation preparation, including discovery, motions, and trial support.
• Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and senior attorneys to ensure timely case progression.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation within the firm's case management systems.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active and in-good-standing California Bar membership.
• 0-3 years of legal experience; prior Lemon Law experience or coursework strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with California Lemon Law statutes and consumer protection principles.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong communication skills and client-service mindset.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within a structured litigation practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
