Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is actively looking for a dedicated and skilled Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join their team in Tuscaloosa, AL. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work out of either the Birmingham or Tuscaloosa office, with the requirement to visit Tuscaloosa at least twice a week to handle court appearances and office responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the Tuscaloosa office, meeting clients for initial consultations, and handling various stages of bankruptcy cases.

Duties:

• Manage the Tuscaloosa office and assist with court appearances in the local area.

• Lead client consultations and offer expert advice regarding bankruptcy filings.

• Oversee the filing and post-filing process for bankruptcy cases.

• Ensure smooth operation of office functions and maintain efficient case management.

• Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality legal services to clients.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Alabama.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency in computer and technical systems.

• High level of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Strong team-oriented mindset and a client-first approach.

• Reliability, punctuality, and dependability are essential.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active license to practice law in the state of Alabama.

Certifications:

• Certification to practice law in Alabama.

Skills:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational prowess.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of bankruptcy law is a plus, but not required.
