A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in life sciences, specifically focusing on patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. The ideal candidate will preferably possess an undergraduate degree in chemistry, biology, molecular biology, chemical engineering, or biochemistry, with an advanced degree or industry experience considered a plus. Membership in the Patent Bar is also advantageous.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of intellectual property litigation cases in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategies.
• Manage client relationships and provide strategic advice on intellectual property matters.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of life sciences experience, focusing on patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors.
• Preferably possess an undergraduate degree in chemistry, biology, molecular biology, chemical engineering, or biochemistry.
• An advanced degree or industry experience is a plus.
• Membership in the Patent Bar is advantageous.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Membership in the Patent Bar (preferred).
