Duties:

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence
• Analyze client needs and develop strategic legal solutions for case management
• Represent clients in court, arguing motions and advocating for favorable outcomes
• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of criminal defense experience, with a focus on trial work
• Strong decision-making, public speaking, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools (Westlaw/Lexis)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a legal team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Maryland Bar, in good standing

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent trial advocacy and litigation abilities
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office
