Duties

• Conduct in-person visits to immigration detention centers to gather case information and assess legal options.
• Advocate for detainees in removal and bond proceedings through oral and written arguments.
• Represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in asylum and removal cases.
• Prepare clients for USCIS interviews and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Represent clients in California Family and Probate Courts for SIJS matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Maintain communication with clients and supervise support staff.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Immigration Court (California Bar membership preferred).
• 3 years of experience in immigration law preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Immigration Court.
