A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its team in Dodge City, KS. This position offers an immediate opportunity for motivated legal professionals to provide strategic support and guidance in family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, paternity actions, and estate planning.

Duties

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for filing with appropriate entities and necessary correspondence.
  • Draft pleadings and motions, including judgments and orders related to family law cases.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding ongoing cases.
  • Interview witnesses for court proceedings and prepare them for testimony.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documents and filings.
  • Appear in court promptly for all assigned cases.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned cases from inception to resolution.
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary, including filing, mailing, and organizing case files.
  • Conduct legal research on specific issues related to family law matters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Must possess a valid Kansas license to practice law.
  • Family law experience is preferred, though candidates without direct experience may apply.
  • Senior Associate positions are available for attorneys with five years or more of litigation experience.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of Kansas.

  • Strong analytical and writing abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
