Profile

A law firm in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 5 years of experience in litigation. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of litigation, supervise associates, and assume a forward-facing role with clients while also managing some administrative responsibilities.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation and supervise associates.
  • Draft legal documents such as notices, discovery, affidavits, subpoenas, and trial exhibits.
  • Prepare deposition summaries for use in mediation and trial.
  • Conduct factual investigations and analysis of file data.
  • Review and organize case records per firm procedures.
  • Maintain electronic and hardcopy case files per firm procedures.
  • Log and submit case time and expense billing.
  • Provide monthly case updates to supervising attorneys.
  • Maintain competency through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
  • Perform docket management and maintain regular contact with all parties involved in litigation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, counsel, third parties, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and demonstrate teamwork effort.

 

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited Law School with a GPA in the top 33%.
  • Licensed to practice in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar Association.
  • 5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Knowledge of e-filing procedures and litigation discovery.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Software.
  • Experience with practice and case management databases (e.g., iManage) and timekeeping/billing systems.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with sound judgment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited Law School.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar Association.

 

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work under supervision and balance priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Commitment to maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
