A law firm seeks an Associate with over three years of experience to join its ERISA Insurance Litigation Team in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to support a dynamic insurance practice group, focusing on life, health, and disability insurance, as well as ERISA.

Duties

• Assist in managing litigation cases related to insurance and ERISA.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Participate in depositions and courtroom proceedings.
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Experience in life, health, and disability insurance and ERISA preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal court practices and procedures.
• Strong writing, communication, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple case projects and work independently.
• Judicial clerkship or externship experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of Alabama or eligibility for admission.
