Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Tax Associate to join its New York office on a partnership track. The position focuses on transactional tax matters, particularly in finance-related areas, and offers a hybrid work arrangement after an initial in-office period.

Duties

• Advise on tax aspects of transactional matters, including structured finance and financing transactions.
• Support deals involving regulated investment companies and project finance.
• Identify legal and tax issues and provide practical solutions.
• Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of transactional legal experience.
• Experience in structured finance, RICs, project finance, or general financing transactions preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in finance-related work.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Membership in good standing with the New York Bar or eligibility for admission.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• LLM in Tax, MBA, or relevant government or tax authority experience is a plus, but not required.
