Job Overview:
An established law firm is seeking a seasoned Resource Attorney to support its Debt Finance practice group. This internal, non-client-facing position is ideal for an attorney with strong legal drafting skills and a background in debt finance transactions who is interested in operational excellence, knowledge management, and practice innovation. The Resource Attorney will contribute significantly to internal efficiency by maintaining document databases, updating legal resources, supporting training programs, and assisting in business development efforts.

Duties:
Input deal terms from completed transactions into the firm’s internal transaction database
Work with the knowledge management team to audit, maintain, and update the transaction database
Monitor and track credit facility terms for frequent clients
Draft and revise template and precedent legal documents
Curate and manage internal forms, sample clauses, and precedent repositories
Research and monitor legal and market developments related to the Debt Finance practice
Draft and distribute legal updates and ensure resource materials reflect market standards
Assist with the planning and delivery of legal education and training initiatives for attorneys
Collaborate with marketing teams on content development for pitches, presentations, and thought leadership
Handle day-to-day attorney requests for templates, precedent materials, and market comparisons using tools such as EDGAR, Intelligize, and Practical Law
Participate in and support knowledge innovation and resource development projects
Carry out additional duties as required by the practice group
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a U.S. Debt Finance practice
Proficiency in credit and security documentation, including leveraged buyouts
Strong experience with legal drafting and document management
Familiarity with legal databases and precedent systems
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Entrepreneurial mindset to develop and refine internal practice tools
Capacity to work collaboratively with attorneys and support teams
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction
Skills:
Advanced legal writing and document drafting capabilities
Attention to detail in tracking, reviewing, and organizing legal documents
Strong organizational and project management skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Experience using legal research and deal tracking platforms
Adaptability to support new initiatives and evolving internal needs
