An Am Law 100 firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its nationally ranked Intellectual Property Litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with a strong technical background and a proven record of handling complex patent and/or trade secret litigation. Location

Duties

• Represent technology clients in complex IP litigation, including patent and trade secret disputes

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Manage discovery processes, including depositions and expert preparation

• Support and lead aspects of trial preparation and proceedings

• Perform substantive legal and technical research

• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and technical experts across multiple locations

• Mentor junior associates when appropriate

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in IP litigation with a focus on patent and/or trade secret cases

• Experience with high-stakes litigation in federal court

• Familiarity with technical subject matter common in software, electronics, or related fields

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle complex tasks independently

• Admitted to the state bar in the office location of practice

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines (required):

  • Computer Science

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Mathematics

  • Physics

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar (must be eligible for or admitted to practice in the applicable office jurisdiction)
