A law firm seeks an Insurance Coverage Attorney in White Plains, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or related fields. This role requires managing a caseload from start to finish, demonstrating strong judgment, and maintaining professional communication. The attorney will primarily work from the New Jersey office but will support matters across the firm's footprint.

Duties

• Analyze insurance and reinsurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions.
• Review complex insurance contracts and assess related legal issues.
• Communicate with clients to provide clear and strategic coverage recommendations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Manage litigation caseloads, including depositions, court appearances, and motion practice.
• Perform in-depth legal research and respond to regulatory inquiries.
• Maintain strong client relationships by adhering to client guidelines.
• Accurately record and maintain billable hours while ensuring all deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in the State of New York is required.
• Federal Court experience is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in insurance coverage or related fields.
• Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Experience with written discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Insurance defense experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
