Japanese Tax Practice: Senior Associate or Manager
The candidate will provide tax compliance and advisory services to Japanese and US Corporations. Participate with accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and tax provision calculations. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience; manage teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects. Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice. Manage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients; build and manage client relationships; advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice. Oversee risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections and project budgets. Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm. A Bachelor's degree, and/or Master's in taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university is needed. Should be licensed CPA, EA or J.D./LL.M. Should have 5+ years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm. Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams are needed. Should have 2+ years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation and/or law firm. Should be fluent in both English and Japanese. Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations and partnerships, and strong knowledge of ASC 740 is needed.
