Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a talented litigation associate with 4-7 years of experience to join its team and work on a diverse range of complex litigation matters. This position provides an opportunity to handle high-profile disputes, including fiduciary obligations related to multi-billion dollar pension plans, employee and disability retirement benefits, intellectual property, insurance coverage, real estate, and breach of contract claims. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle complex litigation matters, including fiduciary disputes, pension plan issues, public agency law compliance, intellectual property, insurance, real estate, and breach of contract claims.
  • Conduct legal research and draft written discovery, pleadings, briefs, and motions in both state and federal courts.
  • Manage eDiscovery processes and assist with document review and production.
  • Participate in depositions and assist in trial preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with the litigation team while also taking ownership of key projects.
  • Effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in litigation.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Experience with written discovery, pleadings, briefs, and motions in state and federal court.
  • eDiscovery and deposition experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of California required.

Skills:

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and business judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • eDiscovery and deposition experience preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
