A law firm seeks a highly skilled associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two full years of experience focused on mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the areas of company representation and strategic acquisitions. Duties

• Provide legal support for mergers and acquisitions, including conducting due diligence and preparing transaction documents.
• Represent clients in negotiations related to strategic acquisitions and corporate transactions.

• Draft, review, and analyze various legal documents, including purchase agreements and related contracts.
• Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes impacting mergers and acquisitions.
• Assist in developing creative solutions to address client needs in complex transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of two full years of dedicated experience in mergers and acquisitions.
• Strong background in company representation and strategic acquisitions.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials are preferred.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in IL.
