Job Overview:

A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This position focuses on first- and third-party insurance coverage litigation and extra-contractual matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in policy analysis and interpretation, as well as experience managing litigation involving commercial general liability, auto, property, trucking, and professional liability policies. Location:

• Dallas, TX

Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies and perform detailed coverage evaluations

• Accurately identify legal and factual issues in claim files

• Draft written coverage opinions and provide verbal guidance to clients

• Handle litigation involving first- and third-party insurance coverage disputes and extra-contractual claims

• Work on matters involving a range of policy types, including CGL, property, auto, trucking, and professional liability

• Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts

• Manage discovery processes and prepare for depositions and mediations

• Exercise strong judgment in problem-solving and legal strategy

• Collaborate with internal teams and manage caseloads with limited oversight

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in insurance coverage law

• Background in coverage litigation, including motion practice and discovery

• Ability to work proactively and independently within a team-oriented setting

• Trial experience is a plus, but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar

• Admission to additional state bars is a plus
