A law firm is seeking a Project Finance Associate Attorney to join their team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have experience in project finance and development, with a focus on limited recourse and structured financings in the energy and infrastructure sectors. However, candidates with leveraged finance or other types of finance experience are also encouraged to apply.

Job Overview:

• Provide legal support and counsel in project finance and development matters.
• Work on limited recourse and structured financings in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to structure and execute financing transactions.

Duties:

• Advise clients on project finance and development matters.
• Structure and negotiate financing agreements for energy and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct due diligence and review legal documentation.
• Draft and review project finance documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements.
• Assist with project finance transactions from inception to closing.
• Provide ongoing legal support and advice to clients throughout the life of the project.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar and in good standing in the jurisdiction where hired.
• 3-5 years of experience in project finance, preferably with a focus on energy and infrastructure.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Previous law firm experience in finance or related practice areas.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction where hired.
