Job Overview
A law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Discovery Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience in eDiscovery, advising and supporting case teams through all phases of discovery, including preservation, production, and pre-litigation information governance. The Senior Discovery Attorney will collaborate with various legal and technical teams to create tailored eDiscovery workflows, ensuring risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility. This position also includes overseeing the quality of work and deliverables from other attorneys and service providers.

Duties

  • Advise case teams and clients on all phases of discovery, from preservation to production.
  • Support pre-litigation information governance, deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation as needed.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, technologists, and clients to create case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Manage risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility throughout the discovery process.
  • Oversee and ensure quality control of work and deliverables from Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in all aspects of eDiscovery.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in eDiscovery and litigation support.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Proven experience in managing complex discovery processes.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Relativity Certified Pro or Certified E-Discovery Specialist certifications preferred.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts.
  • Proficiency in corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Expertise with Relativity strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage teams and ensure high-quality work output.
