Intellectual Property Counsel

The candidate will develop global intellectual property strategy in partnership with indie leadership. Build patent program and manage indie’s patent portfolio, including patent portfolio development, assessing patentability and enforceability of patent invention ideas. Manage disputes and litigation concerning IP and related licensing matters. Provide support to product development, product management and engineering teams on IP strategy and related licensing matters. Create IP-related policies, procedures, training programs, and playbooks. Offer counseling on IP and licensing-related issues for new products and features. Provide support to corporate, M&A and operations teams on IP-related matters. Review and manage relationships with outside counsel with respect to global intellectual property protection. Undertake other projects as required as part of a small but mighty legal team.
