Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Tallahassee, FL, known for its longstanding commitment to litigation defense, is actively seeking a mid-level associate to join its trial team. This role offers hands-on litigation experience across general liability and labor & employment matters, with opportunities to manage cases from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will be skilled in written advocacy, possess a strong command of litigation procedures, and be comfortable in court settings.

Duties:

• Draft and revise legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare memoranda

• Attend and conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations

• Engage in case strategy, evaluation, and client advisement

• Assist with trial preparation and, where applicable, participate in trial proceedings

• Maintain communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

• Ensure timely and efficient case progression

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant litigation experience

• Proficiency in managing multiple litigation matters independently

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and research capabilities

• Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams and support staff

• Willingness to appear in court and engage directly with clients

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing

Skills:
