Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm in Tomball, TX is seeking a talented and dedicated Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Defense Practice Group. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with over 3 years of experience in general liability litigation who are passionate about providing exceptional legal representation. The role involves defending a variety of clients, including insurance companies and policyholders, in legal matters ranging from personal injury claims to insurance coverage disputes.

Duties:

• Represent insurance companies and policyholders in legal matters such as personal injury claims, property damage, and insurance coverage disputes
• Provide legal counsel and representation during trials, mediations, and arbitrations
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to create strong defense strategies
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests
• Attend court appearances regularly and participate in trial proceedings
• Take and defend depositions of both fact witnesses and expert witnesses
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to resolve cases efficiently while protecting clients' interests

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to practice law in the State of Texas
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in general liability defense litigation
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Experience attending court hearings, depositions, and trials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in Texas

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Texas State Bar
