Job Overview:
A law firm based in Salinas, CA, is seeking an experienced attorney to join its team through a recruitment partner. This opportunity involves working on complex matters across business, corporate, and real estate transactions. The role requires a strategic legal thinker capable of managing a wide array of transactional matters while collaborating with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced, professional environment. The position is available for in-person or hybrid work in the Salinas region, with access to additional office locations in Hollister and Monterey.
Duties:
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, leases, and transactional documents
Manage entity formation and governance processes for business clients
Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and business restructuring
Handle transactions involving the sale and purchase of commercial real estate
Guide intellectual property protections and trademark matters
Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal obligations
Conduct legal research, prepare memoranda, and offer strategic counsel on transactional risks
Support general business advisory and transactional planning initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in business, corporate, and real estate law
Demonstrated success in handling complex legal transactions and negotiations
Ability to manage multiple matters concurrently with precision and efficiency
Strong drafting, analytical, and client-relations capabilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team structure
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license in good standing with the California State Bar
Skills:
Advanced legal research and writing proficiency
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation abilities
High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
