Job Overview:

The Family Law Associate Attorney will manage non-complex and complex domestic cases, represent clients in court at trial and mediation, and provide legal counsel on divorce, child custody, child support, and related issues. Duties:

• Conduct client meetings, including initial consultations.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and court orders in family law matters.
• Develop tactful litigation strategies based on client objectives.
• Negotiate settlement agreements with opposing parties.
• Understand and apply Georgia law, including local court rules, state statutes, and rules of evidence.
• Manage assigned cases from inception to closure.
• Interact and delegate select tasks to assigned support staff.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as an attorney.
• Prior experience of 1-2 years in family law litigation.
• Familiarity with various legal documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.
