Duties

• Represent clients in all phases of litigation from initiation to expert discovery.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
• Conduct complex legal research and discovery investigations.
• Draft discovery requests, responses, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Review discovery responses and prepare summaries and litigation update reports.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to settle claims.
• Communicate closely with clients to provide legal analysis and advice.

Requirements

• 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong preference given to those with a background in General Liability or Labor and Employment Law.
• Must be barred in NY.
• Experience drafting discovery, taking lead on depositions, and arguing motions.
• Excellent writing and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Lexis software.
• Knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedure is essential.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active NY Bar membership in good standing.
