Job Overview:
An established law firm is seeking a Junior Corporate Attorney to join their team in Prairie Village, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate looking to build a career in corporate law. The role will provide hands-on experience in business transactions, legal research, document drafting, and client collaboration under the guidance of senior attorneys.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients on corporate matters, including business formation, mergers, acquisitions, and other commercial transactions
• Draft legal documents such as contracts, motions, pleadings, affidavits, and settlement agreements
• Conduct legal research and provide practical advice on business, corporate finance, and M&A matters
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls to discuss strategies and solutions
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations and legal recommendations
• Support senior attorneys in due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions
• Review compliance documents, business filings, and corporate records
• Organize client files and ensure all updates are easily accessible to relevant parties
• Attend hearings and legal proceedings as required, providing general counsel under supervision

Requirements:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and senior attorneys
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Successful completion of the state bar exam
• Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
• Willingness to learn and develop under the mentorship of senior attorneys

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must have passed the state bar exam
• Active membership in the American Bar Association (ABA)
