Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney in Santa Rosa. The Litigation Attorney will be responsible for reviewing case files, assessing legal and factual issues, preparing legal documents, managing court appearances, and maintaining client relationships. They must demonstrate finely tuned analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with various legal tools and software.

Duties:

• Review case files and assess legal and factual issues
• Prepare and respond to demand letters
• Draft and respond to pleadings
• Utilize discovery tools effectively for propounding and responding to discovery
• Draft and argue motions
• Appear regularly in court proceedings
• Maintain accurate court calendar and deadlines
• Take and defend depositions
• Manage relationships with clients, court personnel, colleagues, and opposing counsels
• Coordinate with non-attorney staff to meet client needs

Requirements:

• Active member of the California State Bar
• 5+ years of prior experience in litigation
• Highly proficient with legal research and analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Proficiency with legal software and tools
• Strong organizational skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Admission to the California State Bar
