Senior Business Litigation and Insurance Coverage Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Business Litigation and Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their team. The candidate will assist lead attorneys in counseling and litigation, including preparing insurance coverage opinion letters, drafting pleadings, and participating in depositions and trials. Strong research and writing skills are required, with experience in IP, trade secrets, and insurance coverage considered beneficial. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in business litigation, insurance coverage defense, and related areas.

Duties:

• Assist lead attorneys in all aspects of counseling and litigation.
• Prepare insurance coverage opinion letters.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Present motions and assist with dispositive motions practice.
• Provide support to lead trial counsel in trial preparation and other litigation tasks.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• 7+ years of experience in business litigation, insurance coverage defense litigation, IP infringement litigation, employment and trade secrets litigation, cybersecurity and data breach, in support or lead roles preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Experience with IP, trade secrets, and insurance coverage considered helpful.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Skills:

• Experience in business litigation and insurance coverage defense.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Knowledge of IP, trade secrets, and insurance coverage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
