Duties

• Assist in developing and implementing case strategies from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and negotiations.
• Manage discovery, including document requests and subpoenas.
• Review and summarize case files and deposition transcripts.
• Participate in trial preparation, including witness and exhibit preparation.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to provide strategic guidance.
• Attend court hearings, pretrial conferences, and trials as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
• Stay updated on legal developments and case law.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Ohio.
• 4-8 years of experience in litigation, focusing on commercial litigation.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and client communication.
• Detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office, 365, and Outlook.
• Experience with legal research software such as Lexis Nexis or Westlaw.
• Strong interest in developing a litigation practice.

Education
