Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Defense Attorney for its El Segundo office. This role offers an opportunity to take on significant responsibility, working on both litigation and client advisory aspects of employment law. Location:

• El Segundo, CA

Duties:

• Handle employment litigation cases, including wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims.
• Develop and execute case strategy from inception through trial.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on day-to-day employment law matters (policy reviews, handbooks, and compliance).
• Conduct depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings (e.g., Labor Commissioner, EEOC).
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor junior attorneys and provide business development training.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of California employment litigation experience, including wage and hour class actions/PAGA claims.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Strong litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Experience advising clients on employment law issues such as policy reviews, handbooks, and compliance.
• Familiarity with administrative proceedings such as Labor Commissioner and EEOC.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
