A law firm in Garden City, NY is seeking an Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in general defense litigation. The position demands a highly motivated, flexible individual with the ability to manage a caseload from start to finish. Duties:

• Manage and resolve assigned cases independently and with guidance
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct depositions, court appearances, and motion practices
• Perform thorough legal research
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with client guidelines
• Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines
• Accurately track and report billable hours

Requirements:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (NJ, CT, and/or PA admission is a plus)
• 3+ years of general defense litigation experience
• Federal Court experience is a plus
• Proven ability to handle legal research and analysis with precision
• Strong writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of New York (additional state certifications preferred)
