A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in General Liability and Insurance Defense in Atlanta, GA. This role involves working within a dynamic team to provide exceptional legal services and representation to clients.

Duties

• Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours.
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Travel may be required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in General Liability.
• Familiarity with handling civil cases from start to finish.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions, including 30(b)(6) and experts.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings, and trials.
• Experience in negotiations and mediations.
• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of GA; other states are a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and work in a team environment.
• Prompt response to email and phone inquiries.
• Excellent client skills and telephone manner.

Education

• J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of GA.
