Duties

• Represent health care clients in litigation involving professional liability, regulatory compliance, and contractual disputes.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to client objectives.
• Conduct legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, briefs, and memoranda.
• Advise clients on potential risks, case developments, and litigation options.
• Collaborate with internal teams, experts, and co-counsel as needed.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court rules.
• Participate in mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.

Requirements

• 14 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus on health care defense.
• Proven trial and case management experience in complex litigation matters.
• Strong understanding of health care laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a substantial caseload efficiently and effectively.
• Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in Minnesota and in good standing.
