A law firm seeks an experienced associate attorney to join its biology, biotechnology, and chemical patent litigation practice in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to engage in diverse patent litigation matters across the biology, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors with esteemed domestic and international clients.

Duties

• Engage in patent litigation in the biology, biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical fields.
• Collaborate with a team on complex litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Participate in client meetings and strategy sessions.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in biologics, pharmaceutical, chemical, or biotech litigation.
• Experience with PTAB and related patent litigation.
• Prior experience with BPCIA and/or Hatch Waxman litigation is a plus.
• Top academic credentials and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Advanced degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, pharmacology, or a related field.

Certifications

• Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office preferred.
