Fall Internship
The internship will include client intake, written discovery requests and responses, document inspection, investigation, discussions with and negotiations on behalf of the client, legal research and writing, court appearances (in the company of an attorney), and hopefully involvement in trial preparation and participation in an actual trial. In some instances, the intern's experience will also include data entry and computer management of client records, as well as possible assistance with writing grant applications, newsletters and other information disseminated by the Center. Law students are considered. Law students with a Student Practice Certification will be preferred. Strong organizational, writing, and communications skills are desired. Research experience is an asset.
