A law firm seeks a highly motivated mid-level Labor and Employment Associate in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, compliance, and counseling, with at least three years of experience advising employers on various labor and employment matters.

Duties

• Advise employers on federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and leave issues.
• Draft and review employment policies and agreements.
• Handle agency investigations, including EEOC, DOL, and state agencies.
• Assist with employment litigation matters, including discovery and depositions.
• Support labor relations matters, including union issues, collective bargaining, and arbitration.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 3-4 years of labor and employment law experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent client-relation skills and comfort working with diverse clients.
• Top academic credentials and strong interpersonal skills.
• Bar admission in the attorney's resident and/or affiliated office.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
