A law firm seeks a mid-level corporate associate to join its team in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will focus on working with emerging growth companies and institutional investors, handling venture capital financings, M&A transactions, and advising on corporate matters. This role requires an in-office presence three days per week.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
• Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts.
• Manage complex cases and transactions from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies.
• Participate in high-level legal activities such as hearings and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development and community involvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in emerging growth and venture capital.
• Experience with M&A transactions and corporate advisory.
• AmLaw 100 firm experience preferred.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the state of California.
