Guide privacy assessments in M&A due diligence and other corporate transactions
Collaborate on regulatory inquiries, consumer complaints, and enforcement actions
Support privacy program readiness efforts, including harmonization strategies and emerging state law compliance
Participate in internal audits, incident preparedness exercises, and evaluations of breach response plans
Provide ongoing legal guidance on enterprise data governance, cybersecurity practices, and risk oversight
Requirements:
3-7 years of focused experience in privacy and data protection law
Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state privacy regulations
Familiarity with GDPR and global data transfer mechanisms
Strong legal drafting, client advisory, and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex compliance matters independently
Experience working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
Law firm experience preferred; in-house roles considered if scope is comparable
