Mid-level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm located in Madison is seeking a skilled Mid-level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and experience representing clients in various stages of litigation, including pre-filing investigations through appeal. Experience in litigating intellectual property disputes, such as patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, and copyright infringement, is essential. The position requires exemplary research capabilities, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to manage complex discovery and case strategies effectively.

Duties:

• Conduct pre-suit due diligence investigations and develop case strategies.
• Manage complex discovery processes and negotiation.
• Assist in taking and defending depositions.
• Argue evidentiary motions, claim construction, and dispositive motions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, pre-trial briefings, and appeal briefs.
• Represent clients in various types of intellectual property disputes.
• Provide support and expertise before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a technological or scientific field preferred.
• 3-6 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
• Strong academic record.
• Experience in all stages of litigation from pre-filing investigations to appeals.
• Experience in managing complex discovery processes and negotiations.
• Ability to take and defend depositions effectively.
• Proficiency in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Experience in litigating various types of intellectual property disputes.
• Experience before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) is desirable.
• Excellent research capabilities.
• Exemplary writing skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a technological or scientific field preferred.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
